Mercy Ministry

If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him. - John 12:26

The Diaconate asks that on Communion Sundays (the first Sunday of the month), the members would make a special, voluntary donation to aid the afflicted and distressed within our church community. Your gift will be set aside for this specific purpose. The Diaconate will use these funds to show mercy first to our members, secondly to the extended body of Christ, and lastly to the world.

Please contact the diaconate or any member of the church if you or someone you know would benefit from this mercy ministry. A special offering for this purpose will be taken up following our receiving the sacrament of Holy Communion. Please prayerfully consider giving in order that we all may serve those in need.

By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and truth. (1 John 3:16-18)

Please let us know of ANY need you become aware of, so that we might offer practical assistance.
